1. Pressure changes

If the pressure changes significantly (such as when passing through the gas plug), the gas detector sensor reading may experience temporary fluctuations, which may cause the detector to sound an alarm. When the oxygen volume percentage remains stable at around 20.8 percent and the overall pressure drops significantly, the oxygen used for breathing in the environment may become a danger.

2. Humidity change

If there is a significant change in humidity (such as when entering an outdoor humid air environment from a dry environment with air conditioning), the water vapor in the air will drive away oxygen, causing the oxygen reading to drop by up to 0.5 percent . The gas detector sensor is equipped with a specialized filter to eliminate the impact of humidity changes on gas readings. This effect will not be immediately detected, but it will gradually affect the degree of oxygen after several hours.

3. Temperature changes

When cleaning a gas detector, it is necessary to frequently clean the outer surface of the instrument with a damp cloth, and the use of cleaning agents is strictly prohibited. Because the cleaning agent may also contain silicon, it can damage the gas detector sensor. When storing, choose a safe and dry place as much as possible, with a storage temperature range of 18 degree -30 degree . Before using a stored gas detector, it is necessary to reproduce the calibration of the detector. During transportation, gas detectors should be protected with appropriately padded transportation packaging to prevent accidental damage to the instruments during transportation.
