Resistance measurement of Digital multimter auto range
Insert the test leads into the "COM" and "VΩ" holes, turn the knob to the desired range in "Ω", and connect the test leads to the metal parts at both ends of the resistor.
Notice:
1. If the measured resistance value exceeds the maximum value of the selected range, the over-range "1" will be displayed, and a higher range should be selected. For the resistance greater than 1MΩ or higher, it will take several seconds for the reading to stabilize. This is normal.
2. When not well connected, such as open circuit, the meter displays "1".
3. When checking the impedance of the line under test, make sure to remove all power supplies in the line under test and discharge all capacitors. If there are power supplies and energy storage elements in the line under test, it will affect the correctness of the line impedance test.
4. The 200MΩ gear of the multimeter has 10 characters in short circuit. When measuring a resistance, these 10 characters should be subtracted from the measurement reading. For example, when measuring a resistance, it is displayed as 101.0, and 10 characters should be subtracted from 101.0. The actual resistance value of the measured component is 100.0 or 100MΩ.
5. You can touch the resistance with your hands during measurement, but do not touch both ends of the resistance with your hands at the same time - the human body is a conductor with a large but limited resistance.
